Rustie Releases Charitable “Boatsss”

In his latest track “Boatsss”, Rustie enlists his trademark SNES-inspired bursting synths, fused with rippling snares and the thud of a Dirty South bassline. He also includes samples from the Southeast Indian Light of Love Children’s Choir, their youthful voices enhancing Rustie’s blissful vibe.

For this track, Rustie joined forces with Scottish arts community Transgressive North from his home city of Glasgow. The organization’s “Everything is New” Project has curated the Boats compilation album to benefit Scottish Love in Action, a charity that provides food, clothing, education, and medical care to children in Southeast India. Boats also features tracks from Four Tet, Dan Deacon, Bear in Heaven, YACHT, and more.

The video for “Boatsss” features the children behind the Light of Love choir. Purchase the album when it is released on January 20, 2014 to work your charitable muscle.
